The tournament’s character

While the Hearthstone Class Master tournament test runs, maintain the basic idea of the official Class Master Championship, they are not so strict and put into use a somewhat degraded version of the official Championship’s features. The tournament test runs aim to introduce, promote and solidify the Class Master idea while providing a great experience to its participants. Players are challenged to become the best of the class (Class Masters) of each Hearthstone class by competing in matches of a specific class, for example Warriors only, or Druids only and so on …But the tournament test runs do not stop there!

A new class opens every Sunday!

Every Sunday, a new class opens! All participants get to play and serve that specific class, in an attempt to conclude the best of the class, earning the title of the “Challenger”. The challenger then has the right to challenge the current Class Master in order to take over their throne on that specific class, becoming the new Class Master!

The tournament’s season!

The tournament cover a total of 2 to 3 months period, with the first two months concluding the Class Masters for each of the 10 classes of Hearthstone and the third month bringing all class masters to fight each other (Class Masters Showdown) in order to conclude the best class and Class Master of all. Once the season is completed the circle is repeated.

Pick your group!

With the coming of every Sunday and the opening of a new class, comes the formation of groups that host 4 players each. They also have a different starting time frame through the day, to allow the participants to make a choice that fits their timeline the best.

Becoming a Class Master

Once the tournament starts, random pairs of players are formed within the groups and in the end each group pronounces one qualifier. Next Sunday, all qualifiers receive a password with which they are to enter the finals. Once more, random pairs are formed and if there is no Class Master present, the final winner is granted the title of the “Class Master”. If there is a Class Master present, the winner is granted the title of the “Challenger” and next Sunday they challenge the Class Master in order to take over their throne!

The defending of the Class Master’s throne and the journey of self worth!

Honoring the mentality of the Class Master Championship, becoming a Class Master of a class in the tournament, prevents you from participating in the next tournament of that specific class! The Challenger that will eventually be appointed, will challenge you for the throne of that specific class! The only way for a Class Master to re-enter the tournament of the specific class is by attempting to complete a “Journey of self worth”.

In this case the Class Master re enters the tournament aiming to re-claim the class throne thus completing a journey of self worth. This is no easy task and the risks of taking the journey are very high as if you do not manage to reclaim your throne and get disqualified, you instantly loose your title as a Class Master and the throne becomes vacant for the new Challenger to claim it without a fight!

Defending your title!

Defending your throne from a challenger, comes with achievements that add to your prestige but daring to start and complete a journey of self worth comes with benefits that solidify further your reign as a Class Master! The more journeys you complete the stronger you become by claiming spell cards that you can use against any future challenger that come to claim your throne!

Becoming the capital of the Class Master tournament!

In the tournament, players honour their countries by claiming the throne of a class and becoming Class Masters. In case a player or players of a country have become Class Masters of the majority of the Hearthstone classes then that country becomes the capital of the Hearthstone Class Master tournament! This grands several privileges for all players that are from that specific country!
